Frequently Asked Questions

01

What is included in the complimentary assessment?
The complimentary assessment begins with a 20–30-minute, no-pressure consultation about your organization, current safeguards, and security concerns. Kysera will identify potential areas for further review and recommend appropriate next steps. It is not a penetration test, formal audit, or compliance certification.

02

What types of organizations does Kysera work with?
Kysera works with healthcare organizations and small to midsize businesses across multiple industries. Every engagement is tailored to the organization’s operations, risks, regulatory responsibilities, and available resources.

03

Does Kysera replace our IT provider?
No. Kysera can work alongside your internal IT team, managed-service provider, software vendor, or other technology partners. Our focus is identifying cybersecurity and compliance risks that may extend beyond routine IT support.
Clear answers about Kysera’s assessments, services, and approach to cybersecurity.

04

Are services available on-site or remotely?
Both. On-site consulting is available throughout Southern California, while remote consulting is available to organizations nationwide.

05

How long does a cybersecurity assessment take?
The complimentary consultation generally takes 20–30 minutes. The length of a comprehensive assessment depends on the organization’s size, environment, systems, and agreed scope.

06

Will an assessment disrupt our operations?
The initial consultation is non-invasive and should not affect daily operations. Any deeper technical testing or system review is carefully scoped, scheduled, and performed only with written authorization.

07

Does Kysera guarantee that we will be compliant?
No consultant can guarantee compliance or the outcome of an audit. Kysera helps organizations evaluate their readiness, identify gaps, improve documentation, and strengthen safeguards based on applicable requirements.

08

How does Kysera protect confidential information?
Kysera limits information collection to what is necessary for the engagement and can execute a nondisclosure agreement before detailed discussions. Clients should never submit passwords, protected health information, payment information, or sensitive system details through the website form.

09

What happens after an assessment?
Kysera explains the findings, identifies the highest-priority risks, and provides clear, actionable recommendations. You can decide whether to address those items internally, through an existing provider, or with additional support from Kysera.
